The stainless steel teeth don't snag at all, even on the mats behind my shepherd's ears. Seven inches gives me enough reach to get through her whole back in a few passes.

My golden retriever's undercoat used to turn every brushing session into a tug-of-war, but these stainless steel teeth slide right through the tangles without pulling. The 7-inch size gives me enough grip to work through the thick spots behind his ears. Best ten bucks I've spent on grooming gear.

I was worried the metal teeth would feel harsh, but the stainless steel glides through her tangled undercoat without a single snag. Even after a muddy walk and a matted mess behind her ears, this 7-inch comb worked through it in minutes. My only regret is not buying one sooner.
